Volt is a way of giving you more control over your weekly payments to Flick, which can make your budgeting easier. Think of it as a payment smoother.
When you open a Flick Volt, you get to choose a regular amount to pay to Flick each week. By making this a little higher than your regular weekly bill, you'll build up a wee stash of cash that you can then use to knock the top off any higher than normal bills. You can then keep track of your Volt in your Flick app or Dashboard.
The Regular Payment is the minimum amount you will pay to Flick each week. We recommend setting this to around 20% higher than your typical, non-winter weekly payment.
Example: If your Regular Payment is $30 and your bill is $25:
We will deduct $30 from your preferred payment method, and $5 will go into your Volt.
The Trigger Amount is the maximum you want to pay for your bill. Any bill under your trigger amount will be deducted from your preferred payment method - and if your bill is over your Trigger then we will take the remaining amount from your Volt.
Example: If your Trigger Amount is $30 and your bill amount is $35:
We will deduct $30 from your preferred payment method, and $5 will come out of your Volt.
