Volt is a way of giving you more control over your payments to Flick, which can make your budgeting easier. Think of it as a payment smoother!
When you open a Flick Volt, you get to choose a minimum payment to pay to Flick. By making this a little higher than your regular bill, you'll build up a wee stash of cash that you can then use to knock the top off any higher than normal bills. You can then keep track of your Volt in your Flick app or Dashboard.
- The Minimum Payment is the minimum amount you will pay to Flick each payment. We recommend setting this to around 20% higher than your typical, non-winter payment.
Example: If your minimum payment is $30 and your bill is $25: we will deduct $30 from your preferred payment method, and $5 will go into your Volt.
- The "When to use Volt" is the maximum you want to pay for your bill. Any bill under your "When to use Volt" amount will be deducted from your preferred payment method - and if your bill is over your "When to use Volt" then we will take the remaining amount from your Volt.
Example: If your "When to use Volt" is $30 and your bill amount is $35, we will deduct $30 from your preferred payment method, and $5 will come out of your Volt.
